BIOGRAPHY

Jose Gomez, born in Lima, Peru (1970) - he studied drawing, painting and mural painting at the National School of Fine Arts (1987-1993). Twelve individual exhibitions and various group exhibitions in Peru, United States, Finland, Spain, Germany, Canada, UK, Belgium, Argentina, and Panama. He has won numerous awards in several painting competitions around the world.

His polyptychs play with the concave and convex, recreating the sea, the wind and movement of people. Thus the paintings acquires sound qualities, capturing the voice of nature.

In this pictorial project “Sea and Port” the artist continues his research around the sea: what a great mass of water, algae and animals superficially known to everyone but really understood by some sensitive people. This magnificent existing element is related to the human being and His creation took the form of container ships, storage containers, ships and vessels.

Mr Gomez makes us feel closer to the port by transferring this beauty and meaning to the space of an art gallery.
